Make sending and signing contracts easier and quicker for you and your growers. Take advantage of the eSign feature!
This document is for eSign in the Bushel Staff Portal. If your eSign feature does not look like the below screenshots, please utilize this article for help until your company has migrated to the new feature.
Steps to Sending an eSign Contract
1. Create and download the contract as a PDF from ERP.
2. Click "eSign" in the Bushel Staff Portal to access feature.3. Click "Quick Actions" > "New Document"
4. Search and select the account in the "Account" dropdown field.
- Note: The grower must be logged into the app.
5. Upload the PDF contract.
6. Enter the contract title that will be displayed in the Display name.
7. Identify if the contract has been signed by you or your team.
8. Click "Generate Signature."
9. Follow the steps below to create the signature fields.
Create Signature Fields
- Click ‘Signature’ on the left-hand side.
- Click on the contract document to create a signature field for the seller.
- Note: Ensure that the ‘Assigned to’ drop-down on the right side of the screen contains the seller’s name.
- Click on the document to create the signature field for the Buyer (if you / your team hasn’t already signed the contract).
- Ensure that the ‘Assigned to’ drop-down on the right side of the screen contains the buyer’s name.
- Follow the steps below to create an optional initials field.
Create Initials Fields
- Click ‘Initials’ on the left-hand side.
- Click on the contract document to create an initial field for the seller.
- Note: Ensure that the ‘Assigned to’ drop-down on the right side of the screen contains the seller’s name.
- Click on the document to create the initial field for the Buyer (if you / your team hasn’t already signed the contract).
- Ensure that the ‘Assigned to’ drop-down on the right side of the screen contains the buyer’s name.
- Follow the steps below to create an optional date field.
Create Date Field (Optional)
- Click "Date Signed" on the left-hand side.
- Click on the document to create the date signed field for the Seller.
- Note: Ensure that the ‘Assigned to’ drop-down on the right is the seller.
- Click on the document to create the date signed field for the Buyer (if needed).
- Note: Ensure that the ‘Assigned to’ drop-down on the right is the buyer.
- Click "Send."
Example contract with signature, date, and initial fields
When you click Send for signature, the contract will be sent to the eSign section of the grower’s customer portal (available on mobile, tablet, and desktop). If the grower has notifications enabled, they will receive a notification that they have a contract to be signed. After a set number of days, determined by you, have gone by and they haven’t signed and submitted the contract, when they open the customer portal on their mobile device, they will see a pop-up message that they have a contract to sign. This reminder pop-up window will appear up to 10 times as determined by you, on the desired day interval.
Monitor eSign status in the Bushel Staff Portal
Out for Signature:
- The contract is in the customer’s portal for signature.
- If sent in error, you can withdraw it if desired by clicking ‘withdraw’.
Viewed:
- The contract has been viewed by the customer at the timestamp provided.
Complete:
- The grower has signed and submitted the contract.
